Artist Statement
mxnxtomi는 아트토이를 매체로 대중문화의 도상을 재해석하는 팝 아티스트다. 자신의 오리지널 유니버스 'mxnxhonz(모노혼즈)'를 축으로 VYKI(서큐버스·유혹), MELI(유니콘·순수), LYZI(드래곤·통찰) 세 캐릭터를 전개하며, 일본 소프비 문화와 만화·카툰·애니메이션의 시각 언어를 자신만의 조형 어법으로 변주한다. ZBrush 디지털 스컬프팅, FDM·레진 3D 프린팅, 에어브러시 도색을 결합한 작업 방식으로 캐릭터의 트랜스포메이션(transformation)을 통해 동시대 서브컬처를 관통하는 도상학을 구축해 나가고 있다.

mxnxtomi is a pop artist who reinterprets the iconography of popular culture through the medium of art toys. Centered on the original universe 'mxnxhonz,' the practice unfolds three characters — VYKI (succubus, temptation), MELI (unicorn, purity), and LYZI (dragon, insight) — translating the visual language of Japanese sofubi culture, comics, cartoons, and animation into a distinct sculptural vocabulary. Combining ZBrush digital sculpting, FDM and resin 3D printing, and airbrush painting, mxnxtomi builds an iconography that runs through contemporary subculture by way of the characters' transformation.
